You are responsible for
Philips IGT-Devices is looking for a strong C++ software developer to contribute to our intravascular imaging and functional measurement consoles. The consoles team main goal is to de-risk technical designs in an early stage and demonstrate this with early prototypes as well as finalizing these applications and bringing them to the market.
The successful candidate will be a software developer who has a proven track record of C++ software development. He or she is able to deliver high quality designs within project timelines considering the medical device compliance and will be working in a diverse team of highly capable engineers (software and hardware).
Responsible for Requirements, Design, implementation, test and integration of his software Unit or Application in accordance with the higher level Requirement and - Design specifications / architectures.
Understanding and communicating consequences of the design on the architecture and participating in technology and architecture teams.
Focusing on consumer needs and technological competitiveness, with an outside-in approach for designing.
Take responsibility for your own schedule and report on progress (structured and methodical).
Keeping the costs and lead-time of the activities in line with the calculated budget and plan.
Delivering input in the planning process to the project leader.
Ensuring that there is proper documentation for the developed software.
You are a part of

Your local team is in Best, The Netherlands, and you will collaborate with other teams globally. Thereby making it a multidisciplinary international endeavor, where flexibility is key. As Software Developer IGT-D, you will report into the Group Leader Advanced Development, Consoles R&D, IGT Devices.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master degree in computer science;
5 years experience developing a high-tech medical software device incl. regulatory processes;
excellent programming and design skills in C++ (incl. STL) and (X-ray) image-processing;
familiar with advanced and product development processes for medical devices;
empowering continuous improvement;
strong in collaboration with a broad variety of stakeholders.
