The Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Design Quality Assurance Leader will provide E2E Design Quality Assurance Leadership for the Business Group Diagnostic Imaging. The business spans across 11 sites and covers 4 Business Units, Magnetic Resonance (MR), Computed Tomography and Advanced Molecular Imaging (CT/AMI), Digital X-Ray Radiogrammetry (DXR) and Imaging Components. The purpose of the role is to define the quality strategy for Quality & Reliability across Hardware and Software elements while closely collaborating with relevant business partners. Reports to the Head of Q&R Business Group Diagnostic Imaging. You will have to build the Design Quality team. We are looking for an inspirational leader who has experience in managing managers. You can be located in any Philips office in the world (Netherlands or USA is preferred).

You are responsible for

  • Establishing the Design Quality Strategy to ensure consistent, standardized execution of Philips Excellence Process Framework processes.

  • Establishing a strong core Quality Design team that drives common goals and objectives to result in improved customer experience, reliability and operational excellence

  • Accountable for the oversight of and performance of the Quality Engineering work in scope

  • Attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members. You drive ambition towards our vision, act as a coach and co-own the career development plans of your team members.

  • Providing direction to senior management, Inbound to Manufacturing (I2M) Leadership and Business leadership teams in various areas

  • Ensuring the right Quality mindset is developed in the Business focusing on the realization of Business quality targets through dedicated approach to Quality (e.g.: "design-in" Quality vs. inspection)

  • Ensuring that products to be released meet the quality standards by implementing requirements, conditions and enablers

  • Participating in the BG Q&R Leadership Team and engage with other senior quality leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives

  • Participating in corporate development of quality assurance methods,

  • techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.

  • Ensuring budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.

  • Leading the activities of a broad quality assurance area through several quality assurance department leaders within the Diagnostics Imaging Q&R Organization

You are a part of

The Global Diagnostic Imaging Q&R team spans across 11 sites globally. The leaders have responsibility for four Business Units, MR, CT/AMI, DXR and Imaging Components in one Business Group, Diagnostic Imaging. The team is working closely in driving a Quality Transformation creating a customer centric Quality Organization that delivers high Quality, Reliable solutions fast.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • +10 years of experience in Product Design Quality (required)

  • +5 years of senior leadership experience (develop, mentor and coach people of which also managers) of multidisciplinary teams including leading transformations and change management (required)

  • Track record in product development introductions (required)

  • Strong experience in product quality and some experience with Regulations (required)

  • Experience in mechanical, electronics, hardware or software medical device products (f.e. robotic surgery) (required)

  • Working knowledge of appropriate global medical device regulations, requirements and standards (requirement)

  • Experience in design quality (been part of a team that went through change)

  • Good understanding of change management and culture dynamics.

  • Working experience in a matrix environment with a global scope

  • Right first time mentality and good business sense
