In this role, you have the opportunity to
Join a global team of software and hardware engineers developing the next generation of MR systems. As a reconstruction algorithms developer, you will -
Innovate new (AI based) algorithms for MR reconstruction
Develop and optimize reconstruction algorithms to provide improvements in image quality or new clinical applications.
Work in cooperation with other disciplines and across global boundaries
Innovate, specify, prototype, engineer, test and document MR reconstruction algorithms.
Bring clinical MR features from research stage through advanced development into products by delivering high quality software and documentation.
Extension and optimization of the existing Philips MR software with emphasis on clinical functionality and usability, operating in a strong cross-functional interaction across all business disciplines, like hardware, software, system integration and verification, marketing and product application.
Maintain contacts with clinical sites and other groups within Philips to exchange and advance knowledge in the application of MR physics to new areas.
Contribute to conferences and file patent disclosures

You will be part of the Business Innovation Unit Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) within Philips Healthcare . The BIU MRI is responsible for marketing, product development and life-cycle management of the whole radiology portfolio, including 3T, 1.5T High/Mid/Value performance, and 7T Research MRI systems.
Within the BIU MRI you will join the R&D Methods & Reconstruction team. This global team of about 65 engineers is highly committed to develop and deliver new clinical features to the market. The position is within the Reconstruction group located in Best, The Netherlands. This is a team of 12 engineers developing MRI reconstruction algorithms.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Post-graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in Mathematics or related science with strong part of applied mathematics and numerical methods
Experience with MRI reconstruction algorithms, and basic understanding of MR physics is preferred.
Knowledge of artificial intelligence, deep learning, machine learning, neural networks is strongly preferred
Experience with solving large systems of equations and inverse problems
Proven innovation ability (e.g. patents, journal papers)
Experience with relevant programming languages, such as C++ and Python
Team player with excellent communication skills (English language) and the ability to interact in multidisciplinary teams
Quality minded and customer focused
Ambitious and with the will and drive to develop yourself
