Philips Global Product Industrialization Director MR in Best, Netherlands

Usually manages through a few Group Leaders, overseeing somewhat diverse functions such as equipment development, process improvement, maintenance, often multi-location and global.

In this role you will have the opportunity to

Manage products Industrialization roadmap for MR and ensure smooth, high quality and optimized costs of MR Products Design Transfers from R&D to Operations.

You are responsible for

  • Driving new Medical Device Products introductions in Operations and Supply Chain to support our MR customers and patients as well as our MR business.

  • Defining & managing technology, design transfer & manufacturing transfer roadmaps, in terms of scope, timeline and resourcing, together with BU program management

  • Effectively execute design & manufacturing transfers to Multi Modality Operations (MMO) and suppliers, leveraging processes like PDLM (Product Development Launch & Maintenance) and Design for Manufacturing & Quality

  • Driving product-related manufacturing technology improvements and adopt standardization across MMO sites

  • Design & implement manufacturing networks, manufacturing core/non-core competencies and buy-make (industrialization) assessments

  • Applying DFX (Design for Excellence), DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and Lean methodologies

  • Leading a team of Project/Program Managers and Product Industrialization Engineers

You will be part of

The Philips D&T (Diagnosis & Treatment) Industrialization Engineering Team, and report to D&T Industrialization Leader. You will be working closely with managers and teams from other functions like manufacturing, procurement, quality, supply chain and R&D, cross-functional project teams locally and globally.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Systems/Industrialization) and at least 10 years of professional, cross functional experience in R&D, Supply Chain Management, Operations and/or Engineering

  • An inspirational change leader and people manager that can build a high performing team.

  • Experience in the High-tech industry, ideally Healthcare or other strict regulatory environments (e.g. Automotive)

  • Expertise in New Products Design Transfer from R&D to Operations and supply Chain

  • Quality acumen; Expertise in Quality Management Systems; preferably medical Device and/or APQP

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong networker that knows how to navigate in a global matrix organization.

  • Experience with Six Sigma principles/ Lean tools, as well as DFM/ DFT
