At Philips Image Guided Therapies (IGT)-Devices we are working on industry leading solutions helping clinicians on deciding, guiding, treating and confirming the right therapy for each patient in real-time during image-guided therapies.
You are responsible for
Philips' IGT-Devices is looking for an experienced hardware manager. The successful candidate will be leading a team of highly educated and highly motivated analog, digital, mechanical and embedded software developers.
Key areas of responsibility;
Developing people, processes and ways of working to achieve operational / functional excellence to deliver consistently and in the most efficient way;
Leads and supervises budgets of resources, tools and training. Conducts resources portfolio management;
Ensures compliance with product lifecycle and hardware development procedures and processes as well as all applicable quality and regulatory requirements;
Content-wise encourages and supplies to cross-organizational strategy and project teams working on innovation themes and breakthroughs;
Ensures appropriate personnel management practices regarding recruitment and selection, adequate resource allocation / resource portfolio management, remuneration, performance appraisals, people development and organizational change;
Is responsible for partner / third party management;
Is responsible for removing impediment for the progress of the teams, and acts as escalation point e.g. for quality issues and SLAs;
Establishes operational excellence / functional excellence via multiple sources of initiatives;
Might align with client and other partners to coordinate work in the area of responsibility.
You are a part of
A very driven international cross-functional R&D team of the business unit Image Guided Therapy Devices. Your local team is in Best, The Netherlands, and you will collaborate with other teams globally. Thereby making it a multidisciplinary international endeavor, where flexibility is key. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical degree;
5 years experience in leading hardware teams, preferably in high-tech medical devices;
Familiar with advanced development, product development and life cycle management processes, preferably for hardware medical devices;
Building and maintaining strong hardware competencies and quality;
Empowering continuous improvement;
Strong in removing impediments;
Strong in collaboration with a broad variety of partners;
Shown track-record of deploying strategic hardware initiatives and working with third parties.
