In this role, you have the opportunity to
Support physicians all around the globe by driving and maintain the image quality of a market-leading product family in the field of X-ray based, image guided, minimally invasive interventions.
You are responsible for
Lead 14 world class Image quality specialists within our R&D organization
Manage and grow the system level Image Quality competence within the Image Guided Therapy Systems (IGT-S) organization
Ensure successful introduction and maintenance of high quality, manufacturable, serviceable, and reliable medical products
Provide cross-functional support to different departments in relation to Image Quality: R&D, Customer Service, Marketing, Advanced Development, and Clinical Science.
Act as single point of contact between IGT Systems and its suppliers of X-ray imaging components (X-ray sources, generators and detectors), including senior management level review meetings, program and roadmap alignment, management of project/quality escalations

Our team works on the core of our imaging systems for minimally invasive therapy, providing the real-time X-ray imaging platform that physicians rely upon to “see” their actions while performing critical interventions such as catheter based cardiac procedures. In such demanding conditions, safety, quality and performance are critical.
In 2017 we launched our latest and most innovative platform, Azurion. But we are not stopping there, we are continuing innovating on it to deliver more and more tools to our customers that will be used to make the world a healthier place.
You are a part of
You are a part of the management team of the Imaging Chain Cluster (ICC) of the Business Unit (BU) IGT Systems within Philips. This BU is responsible for marketing, development and manufacturing of X-ray systems in the area of minimally invasive interventions.
Within ICC, you lead the image quality and physics team that consists of 14 highly skilled and experienced professionals with a multidisciplinary set of skills. The team is responsible for delivering the best image quality across the imaging chain as wells as acting as key touch point and knowledge center for our imaging components.
Your day-to-day work involves a broad set of responsibilities. From developing deep understanding of user needs and clinical applications to supporting the IQ scrum team in delivering to their commitments. From ensuring resolution of urgent escalations around image quality or imaging components to supporting the definition of mid/long-term roadmap options and quality improvements. From maintaining the critical knowledge of your team to supporting stakeholders in cross-functional business initiatives. All of this maintaining the needs of our users as your north star.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering or physics
Proven professional experience in the Healthcare industry;
Experience in leading people
Analytical and creative thinker that delivers solutions with an entrepreneurial attitude
Capable in driving change and in introducing new technologies, new products and new ways of working
You are able to lead, motivate and inspire a diverse team
You drive the team’s deliverables on time with the right quality
You are good communicator and a good listener, capable of interacting at all levels in the organization
You have an improvement attitude and you lead through example
Fluent in English, written and verbal
