Influence, maintain and further improve the image quality of a market-leading product in the field of X-ray based image guided therapy.
You are responsible for
Understand and communicate customer and application needs in terms of image quality (IQ);
Translate IQ requirements into component specifications and application specific settings for image processing algorithms;
Resolve customer complaints related to image quality either by supporting the local service team, traveling on site for customization activities and/or proposing structural product improvements;
Specify and perform image quality verification measurements;
Perform work in line with relevant regulations/standards and with processes that have been agreed in the department;
Initiatives for continuous improvement of our product and processes.
You are a part of
The image quality and image design team consists of 13 highly skilled and experienced professionals with a multidisciplinary set of skills. It is responsible for delivering the best image quality across the imaging chain as wells as acting as key touch point and knowledge center for our imaging components.
The day-to-day work involves a very diverse set of activities, from understanding and influencing of specification of system components to tuning of image processing parameters and algorithms; from analyzing field feedback, to developing improvements and new applications with users.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
At least 3 years of experience in a relevant role (e.g. medical imaging, image optimization)
Master degree in Applied Physics / Biomedical Imaging or similar areas of study;
Proven professional experience in the Healthcare/Medical industry;
Experience in the field of image processing and image quality (especially relevant if in the field of interventional X-ray systems for image guided therapy);
Experience in understanding of needs and preferences from clinical users and in translating them into system requirements or image processing customizations;
Experience in analyzing user feedback, especially in relation to image quality;
Experience in system verification and validation of medical imaging equipment (especially relevant if in the field of image guided therapy systems);
Good communication skills and soft skills to communicate with users and internal stakeholders;
