Improve the quality of the CAD models we do, before even starting the production of a system.
You are responsible for
The assignment consists on the creation of a tool to automatically create a matrix to evaluate the quality of all CAD model assemblies of the current frontal and lateral stands of our interventional X-ray systems. This will give you a unique opportunity to have a hands-on experience into the Philips IGT systems full product portfolio. A mandatory step for every future system designer/architect.
The intern’s main tasks will be SW related: Create parsers to read artifacts from different tools, turn data into reliable information to feed the matrix, interpret the results and showcase them to higher stakeholders.
The intern’s deliverables consist of the finalized tool, capable of compiling all data into the matrix.
You are a part of
You’ll work in a multidisciplinary mechatronics team, responsible for the creation and testing of all the mechatronics of an interventional X-ray system. You’ll work in close cooperation with Software and Mechanical Designers to allow short communication lines.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Engineering background (all streams welcome)
Problem solving, Coding, proficient in learning how to interact with different tools and communication skills
No previous experience required
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
CAD Modelling knowledge
Preferred skill set: Software design knowledge
Available per 5th of January 2019 or no later than Feb start 2019
