Philips Internship: Repair process design (Suitable for Thesis) in Best, Netherlands

Duration: 3-6 months, preferred 6 months.

Depending on your subject, we are open to discuss your graduation/thesis during this internship!

It is required to communicate in the Dutch language!

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Design robust repair processes in order to drive business excellence.

You are responsible for

• Designing repair process for MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) coils

• Describe way of working for root cause analysis + instructions how to repair

• Train and guide operators to follow the designed process

• If possible drive continuous improvement

You are a part of

An innovative department that is continuously striving for business excellence in repairing MRI parts.

You will be working at our manufacturing plant in Best.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards bachelor in Electronics or Mechatronics

  • You must be fluent in oral and written both in Dutch and English

  • Hands-on mentality

  • Ability to drill down to the root cause in a structural way

  • Preferable affinity with RF technology

  • Good communication skills

To be part of a multidisciplinary team with a lot of tribal knowledge about RF design, manufacturing and repair of MRI parts. A great place to learn about repair/manufacturing processes and continuous improvement. You will be guided by senior manufacturing engineers during this internship.

  • Depending on the topic it can be discussed to make this internship assignment suitable for thesis

  • Duration: 3-6 months. We prefer students that are able a 6 months assignment

  • We would like you to start as soon as possible, no later than January or February 2019
