As a Manufacturing Engineer you are responsible for catching New Product Introductions, giving support, improve and maintain the production process within the Sustaining Engineering Department Factory Best.
You are responsible for:
Defines tooling requirement, ensures an appropriate tooling design (design is performed by supplier / R&D) and supervises the implementation of tool in collaboration with project team and stakeholders;
As a project leader, supervises progress of various tooling projects within Factory Best;
Determine and maintain a multi-year tooling maintenance plan (FTE & budget);
Defines, executes and controls all validation activities related to Life Cycle Management (LCM) changes and tooling changes. E.g. Process Validation, Equipment & Tool Validation, SW Equipment Validation, Statistical Analysis, etc.;
Writing work instructions, monitor/maintain devices and tooling, instruct employees, implement and maintain production processes;
Participates as an expert in audits;
Defines manufacturing requirements for NPI projects and checks the implementation before start production give a GO / NO-GO advice. Requirements relate to product, process and/or equipment;
Single Point of Contact for Sustaining Engineering to ensure all required preparations have been completed for a smooth New Product Introduction;
Supports with the first production models for projects;
Performs technical analysis and conducts or participates in feasibility studies;
Ownership for implementing significant improvements based on the road mapping;
Monitor the implementation of Quick Win improvements by Sustaining Engineering;
Give support to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP);
Executes the Corrective/Preventive Action process, for process and product quality in the factory.
You are part of
Factory Best, one of the largest Operations sites in Health Systems. Your part of Sustaining Engineering, a team which is responsible for processes within IGT/MR/SP&R/IC/RS/DXR/II/TV. You will be working closely with the manufacturing and development department.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Typical bachelor in electronics or mechatronics:
Personal & communication skills, verbal and written in both Dutch and English;
Experience with project management, quality management and quality systems. Preferably experience in the medical industry (ISO 9001, 13485, FDA requirements, audit planning and execution, FMEA, 8D, etc.);
Experience within Manufacturing or Engineering with high tech medical devices;
Preferably Green Belt or Lean certified;
Comprehension skills and ability to analyse and summarise;
A result driven and quality driven approach.
