Senior Software Architect Software Image Guided Therapy

In this role, you have the opportunity to define the way cardiologists operate our X-ray systems during surgery

You are responsible for

  • The development of the system architecture as part of the defined product / technology roadmap for our mechatronics software;

  • Determining the required Hardware and software interfaces in close consultation with the Architecture team, application specialists and subject matter experts;

  • Performing technology assessments to enhance and/or support new and existing systems and helps to develop technology roadmaps together with the Architects team;

  • Owner of the System Requirements and System Designs for multiple projects/products;

  • Analyzing requirements of regulatory government & industry bodies (e.g. FDA) and translating these into product requirements;

  • Documenting and presenting system architecture to development managers, project leaders and development teams;

  • Technically responsible - together with the project leader - for designing and implementing the required functionality;

  • Lead a technical team of software designers (5-15p) in the technical roadmap/project & Assisting the project leader in a work breakdown and drafting realistic schedules;

  • Contributing to the department process improvement activities.

We collaborate closely with the mechanic-, electronic-, software-group and the cluster of system design, to come to our final system architecture & implementation. To make sure we add value to our customers by having a close collaboration with the application specialists who voice our customer’s needs.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Masters degree in Software Development;

  • Background in mechatronics;

  • +/- 5 years of experience as a software architect;

  • Flexible and open attitude, good communication skills in English;

  • Experience with working in large cross functional agile teams;

  • Hands on experience with:

  • Modelling techniques (such as DSL & Matlab)

  • C++: software development in mechatronic environment

  • Dedication to unit testing, code review and other quality-oriented practices
