You are responsible for

  • Enabling a global supply chain organization to continuously improve supply chain operations, delivering on critical business performance targets such as customer delivery, quality, inventory and cost;

  • Driving adoption of the Lean methodology and tools by facilitating training and hands-on coaching of teams;

  • Identifying and setting up the right metrics and controls for improved performance, visibility, and ownership of order to cash processes;

  • Driving standardization and continuous improvement of Order2Cash processes with the process owners;

  • Coaching management on Lean leadership behaviours;

  • Managing cultural change across multiple geographies and functions.

Your team

The Systems & Medical Devices Supply Chain organization is responsible for developing and running an integrated supply chain that drives value for both our customers and Philips. We will focus on increased competitiveness that an end-to-end value chain brings, from supplier management to customers delivery models. It will enable us to further position Philips as a leader in health technology and create opportunities for growth. The Head of Operational Excellence, reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Systems & Medical Devices, is tasked to deploy the Lean methodology and behaviors in the organization by applying Lean tools and principles, e.g. daily management, structured problem solving and kaizen. This global role is based in Eindhoven area.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • 2-3 years’ experience designing and leading Lean deployment across multiple disciplines with significant impact on lead time, quality, and cost;

  • 5-10 years of supply chain and manufacturing, supply chain architecture/flow;

  • Experience advising and setting up performance metrics and target setting, including identifying critical differentiation between leading and lagging metrics;

  • Straightforward and natural communicator on all different levels in an organization;

  • Advanced analytical, problem solving skills;

  • Pragmatic, “getting things done” mentality. Not afraid to take a calculated risk and rapidly try out new approaches to solve problems;

  • Teamwork skills, both as a leader and as a team member;

  • Fluent in English, verbal and written;

  • Lean certification is a big plus;

  • Around 10% of travel foreseen.
