Philips Services and Solutions Delivery, Services Innovation System Architect: Knowledge and Content In this role, you have the opportunity to:

Provide a technically feasible solution that focuses on how knowledge flows through a company, how we convert that knowledge to content and how that content feeds back into the organization and out to our customers and internal users. You we cover all stakeholder requirements, tuned with the services organization’s capabilities, balance the design integrating the requirements of marketing, application, product, design, technology, industry, supply chain and finance. The scope and solution must be in line with the business roadmaps, and technology and marketing perspectives of the future.

You are responsible for:

Helping the team define and implement a knowledge management and service information solution that is suitable for current and upcoming features and needs, while conforming to non-functional requirements. Ensures creation and realization of architectures: products, solutions, services and software focusing on architectural and design decisions for knowledge management and services information. Might conduct some development activities.

  • Defines scope and problem domain in a crisp and structured way: defining the problem with stakeholders and identifying key issues.

  • Delivers a consolidated (reference) architecture: creating well-defined building blocks / system options & scenarios; choosing the optimal architecture, leveraging technology and contributing to/driving roadmaps; establishing control points (IP).

  • Ensures solid, up-to-date and usable documentation of the architecture and implementation using methods & tools for a structured approach.

  • Drives an accepted implementation of architecture, by explaining, convincing, deciding; incl. validation and verification; solving issues and learning from them; establishing architecture lifecycle management; and teaming-up for impact.

  • Acts within the total context, (business, organization, roadmaps, external world, overall ecosystem etc.): driving for convergence; capturing / re-using prior art and in- and external trends; remaining up-to-date with regard to professional knowledge

  • Aligning with Philips Central Architecture Office (CAO) and IT Architecture, manages the PSSD technology blueprint to ensure the “Big Picture“ business goals are clearly in view along with all dependencies and obstacles

  • Communicate the problem, solutions and benefits of the solution to stakeholders.

  • Align multiple content streams (service documentation, information for use, technical and clinical education, and support) to a single methodology for capturing knowledge and the conversion of that knowledge into a tangible asset for Philips.

  • Determine the most effective technology solution to support the content methodology.

  • Support various teams in the implementation, deployment and enablement within a global workforce.

  • Support governance and manage change requests for both the processes and tools.

You are a part of

The Services Innovation team within the Philips Services and Solutions Delivery. The Knowledge Management and Services Information team is responsible to bring new technology into the knowledge and content landscape that will enable us to become a leader in the Healthcare content space. We do this by understanding requirements, evaluating technology, acquiring technology, and implementing technology, defining processes and then maintaining, enhancing and supporting the technology. We are building a complete solution for services and we are looking for an individual to help us in our application and system layers. The application layer addresses how our tools and software applications allow us to automate our business. The system layer addresses how our underlying systems work and how data is shared between the software applications to our customers and the business. Our stakeholders are internal business units within Healthcare that are responsible for running very large HealthTech businesses.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or related field

  • Prefer Master’s degree in related field

  • 5+ years’ related experience as a system architect

  • Must have 8+ years’ in gathering requirements, defining technical specifications and define project scope

  • Prefer to have 5+ years’ experience working with knowledge management, documentation and/or education solutions

  • Individual must have strong analytical skills

  • Proven ability to manage projects from inception to delivery

  • Individual must have strong problem solving skills and be able to provide solutions to users quickly and effectively and must be able to multi-task

  • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills and be able to effectively work in a virtual cross-functional team environment

  • Must have influencing skills to drive the cooperation with key stakeholders

  • Ability to contribute to the Architectural Knowledge Base

  • Experience working within a global company

  • Experience working within a structured (SCRUM) development team

  • Business process management, strategy and design experience gained through over a variety of projects

  • Experience implementing enterprise software and technologies
