Develop the next generation of MR systems! In the Research and Development department in MRI, you will join a global team of software engineers. In this role, you will lead software teams on several MRI programs. This role involves project planning, execution and managing risks on sustenance as well as New Product Introduction programs.

Do you have strong technical background and Software project management skills? Do you have an emphasis on interacting well with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams? Will you lead the team as a Software Team Lead?

You are responsible for

  • End-to-end software project delivery, including project plan, schedule and execution/monitoring working with SW engineers and engineering managers.

  • Work closely with MR program managers to achieve project goals.

  • Work together with software architects to balance strategic software goals.

  • Work closely with software development teams spread globally, playing a leadership role in software development process.

  • Identify project risks, control them and manage regular communication to stakeholders, ensuring thoroughness in dealing with the details.

  • Execute software projects in Agile/SAFe methodology.

You are a part of

You will be working in the Business Innovation Unit Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) within Philips Healthcare . MRI is one of the youngest and most innovative imaging technologies and is growing in applications but also in complexity of the systems and their acquisition techniques. It is the most suitable technology for soft tissue imaging due to its non-invasive and radiation free character.

Within the BIU MRI you will join the R&D Device Control team. This team of about 25 software professionals is highly committed to deliver the best MR control and acquisition system.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer science, Electrical, Electronics

  • 8+ Years of experience in Software development with at least 4 years experience managing complex Software projects in product development background.

  • Strong Healthcare domain knowledge with experience executing SW projects in Healthcare industry in a regulated environment.

  • Strong experience with Agile / Lean Software development methodologies, for example SAFe.

  • Exposure to C++ in Windows and/or VxWorks environment.

  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills with outstanding Software engineering skills.

  • Deep understanding of Software development and product development processes.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to build relationship with various stakeholders.

  • Ability to handle competing priorities and maintain high energy and engagement.
