In this role, you
secure a high-quality performance at our Suppliers through the application and practice of Advanced Product Quality Planning ‘APQP’ during the industrialization of Philips products/parts within the New Product Introduction ‘NPI’ process. You will support the business to deliver high-quality products to markets with the use of APQP.
You are responsible for
Participating in the Supplier Sourcing Process and being a core member of the NPI project teams.
Quality engineering capability assessments of potential new Suppliers and maintaining the actual capability of executed assessments.
Driving APQP development, execution, monitoring and control as part of the NPI process.
Support Design for Excellence ‘DfX’ collaboration between R&D and Supplier.
Part Submission Warrant plans, agreements, deliverables, line release and completion.
Drive Supplier Quality improvement and development through APQP.
Working on assignments of high complexity where analysis of situations/data requires evaluation of new factors.
Driving problem solving at the supplier, by usage of 8D methodologies.
You are a part of
A Procurement Engineering and Supplier Quality organization, who drive themselves and their suppliers, to continuously improve and achieve best in class NPI development. The team consists of about 5 people (Supplier Quality Engineers, Supplier Quality Manager). The team is located in Best but works together with a team in Vantaa (Finland), Pune (India) and Suzhou (China).
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering science, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience (medical device, other regulated industry or high-tech industry required)
Supplier Quality experience is required
Electronics experience is required
Strong experience in NPIs with the use of PPAP tools from start to finish is required.
Well versed in Quality Engineering and Continuous Improvement techniques.
Direct shop-floor production engineering sustaining experience.
Applies judgment in selecting methods and techniques.
Resolves problems independently.
Applies technical and soft skills as a seasoned professional and is capable to interact with other internal functions and external partners at a level up.
