I n this role you will
support the business in the factory with root cause investigations, problem solving and management of the suppliers through non-conformances and continuous improvements initiatives.
You are responsible for
Managing supplier improvement through SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Reports) and QNs (Quality Notifications) to prevent recurrence of identified root causes.
Supporting the site operations in determining the ownership of identified problems, participating in the tiered daily management boards.
Supporting the approval of suppliers onto the ASL (Approved Supplier List).
Ensuring the data for DPPM (defective parts per million) is accurate and drives the decision making for SQIPs (Supplier Quality Improvement Programmes) and supplier probation activities.
Ensuring a seamless process to drive the return of nonconforming material back to the suppliers and the recovery of associated costs.
Using various quality management principles and techniques to drive continuous improvements in products, people and processes.
Interacting often with other internal functions and external partners at a level up.
Acting as a proficient problem solver with 8D, A3, structured problem solving techniques.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor degree in Engineering Science, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience of which a couple of years in supplier quality.
Relevant experience in Medical Device, Automotive, Aerospace, Pharma or Food
APQP or PPAP experience is preferred
Well versed in Quality Engineering, Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement techniques.
Direct working relationships with suppliers
Participated in several New Product Introductions from start to finish.
Direct shop-floor production engineering experience
Willing to travel up to 10% of your working time (global)
