In this role, you have the opportunity to
Serve the Diagnostic Imaging global supply chain management to drive quality activities with suppliers, setting a high standard and fast response expectation so quality issues are prevented or minimized.
As Operational Supplier Quality Engineer you enable our organization to provide high quality medical products to our customers. The role will manage activities downstream related to purchased part qualification with suppliers, supplier quality issue resolution and ensuring appropriate incoming material inspection strategies.
You are responsible for
Part Qualification for Product Lifecycle Maintenance as well as partnering with Design Engineer and Advance Quality Engineering to determine Part Qualification requirements
Partner with Advance Quality Engineer to plan special process validation activity
Complete Part Qualification / Special Process validation activities
Maintain Receiving and Inspection Plans
Manage Supplier Change Request
Supplier Oversight & Monitoring
Perform monthly supplier monitoring based on non-conformance data received from the factory and field
Facilitate quality review meetings
Initiate cross-functional Supplier Quality Improvement Plans/Projects or SCARs based on data analysis/trending and outcome of quality review meetings
Active participation in Material Review Boards to address product related factory and field non-conformances
Audits and Assessments as well as conduct for-cause Supplier Audits/Assessments
Independently Produces and completes Supplier Quality Engineering related activities and documentation.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
At least 5 years of experience as Supplier Quality Engineer working in a production environment
Experience in medical device or automotive/aerospace/pharma/defense
Preferably Supply Chain Management Engineering or Procurement experience
Preferred experience in Quality Tools and Processes (e.g., GD&T, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, VOC, SPC, 8D, 6σ, etc.)
Preferred Six Sigma Certification
Preferred ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
Experience with CAPA / continuous improvement processes including investigational technique (preference)
Strong technical attitude (i.e. able to read and comprehend technical documentation, ability to comprehend and execute procedures, demonstrated understanding of system documentation)
Experience with development and implementation of quality system procedures
