Packaging Program Manager
Distributes IPD and LCM projects to Packaging Artwork Team (PAT) members
For IPD projects, coordinates the transfer of design master files between Design and SGS
Identifies when an LCM project must include Design inputs
Analyzes underperforming project metrics to determine improvement and prevention on future projects
Reviews, analyzes, plans and implements packaging artwork processes with the PAT and with other working teams within OHC
Performs training on new processes
Analyzes performance metrics on projects globally and identifies areas for Lean improvement
Works to improve and implement PAT systems
Performs or arranges for training on new systems
Manages day-to-day coverage and human resources issues
Coordinates schedule adjustments and coverage for projects while PAT individuals are on PTO/Leave
Keeps management informed on team and individual performance
Creates individualized performance plans to strengthen team skills
Makes staffing/hiring decisions to ensure team is staffed appropriately for projects
Escalate resource issues to Dir. OPS
Overall Content/Subject Matter Expert
Acts as the PAT content and subject matter expert
Provides tools, assistance and references for the PAT
Manages the budget of the full packaging artwork program, and reports formally on status against plan, and provides the quarterly updates to responsible sub-category leader and Dir. OPS
Escalates budget issues to responsible sub-category leader and Dir. OPS
We are looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Graphical Communication Design, Business Administration or similar. Plus a minimum of 3+ years progressive project management experience, preferably in a marketing driven environment.
Well developed and proven project management skills, including planning and organization skills and demonstrated ability to address problems proactively
Demonstrated success leading creative and/or cross functional teams and implementing projects while achieving aggressive milestones.
Highly detail oriented and able to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously
Exceptional communication skills for managing remote teams of many nationalities, as wells as communication with global and local stakeholders
Experience working in ISO9000 or similar regulated business preferred.
Previous project management accountability for the integration of creative solutions within a high volume manufacturing environment preferred.
Familiarity with product packaging, related artwork/graphics execution and subsequent high volume production preferred.
Exposure to global business operations, including awareness of unique regional market requirements, distribution channels and related legal parameters desired.
Previous related work experience in a global consumer packaged goods company preferred.
Ability to mentor and manage assigned reports.
Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Project
Experience with FDA-regulated business helpful
