You will combine your leadership and performance of the cell for daily production, quality and efficiency on complex Ultrasound Systems skills with our Lean Manufacturing Environment . With our robust learning & development programs, and commitment to on-the-job training, to help build our company’s Ultrasound Systems in our Bothell, WA location
You will be responsible for developing continuous improvement and be the advocate for quality, 5S, lean, Kaizen activities in the area, and driving QCDSP Metrics for the area of standard Work for Cell Leads every day to meet our customer’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements
Ensures compliance to all relevant processes and procedures
Drives Lean practices and coaches others on use of Lean tools
Leading and driving participation in LEAN projects and use of LEAN tools.
Be a role model for LEAN principles and drive a culture of Lean. Mentor others to use the proper tools for identifying root cause and implementing countermeasures.
Ensure your cell meets or exceeds their QEK goals by participating on and/or supporting team QEK's. Begin to demonstrate coaching and leadership skills needed for the entire cell to successfully achieve the QEK goal.
Communicate findings and improvement opportunities.
Demonstrate cross shift and cross cell collaboration and cooperation by communicating relevant information and leveraging best practices from other areas.
Lead and own Short Term Interval Control Board and metrics updates. Lead or Mentor daily meetings.
TEAMWORK AND ENGAGEMENT:
Support cross training of personnel between lines and cells and will fill in on the production line when team members are unavailable.
Assist in identification and delivery of training as needed. Assembler 5’s will provide clear and concise feedback to their team members (positive and constructive) when necessary.
Demonstrate a positive attitude through volunteering, serving as a resource to the team, identifying problems, providing positive solutions, and supporting management initiatives. Messages to the team honestly and constructively.
Recognize team members when their efforts go beyond the required expectations.
Provide constructive feedback and coaching when expectations are not being met (ex. Not following the AI)
Ensure safety, policy and compliance violations are addressed immediately and that supervisor is kept informed of all issues.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Need to be proficient in rework, upgrade and repair of PCB assemblies.
5 years PCB component level replacement and rework/upgrades.
Must be able to read and understand written documentation such as rework instructions, drawings & Job Aids.
Must be a fast learner with good retention skills.
Attention to detail extremely important.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
Completes the repair of complex electronic and mechanical assemblies.
Ability to train new employees
Ability to read and understand complex assembly/rework instructions
Requires proficient Surface mount and through hole solder skills
Requires proficient electro mechanical skills
Ability to provide redlines and/or collaborate with engineering to create inspection instructions
