Philips Clinical Product Specialist/Sonographer in Bothell, Washington

Job Description Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Clinical Product Specialist is to work with the engineering team and with customers to clinically evaluate and optimize our ultrasound image quality and workflow. In this role, this person will act as the voice of the customer, interpreting clinical input to help develop technical solutions that address customer needs.

The Clinical Product Specialist will work with a team of highly skilled, highly dedicated engineers and clinical specialists to realize solutions identified by the General Imaging Business Segment.

Other duties include developing training materials, giving presentations, consulting in application development, and some participation in next generation product development.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Provide clinical guidance to R&D teams during product development to ensure product performance meets intended uses.

  • Perform optimization of all modes of operation on transducers to be offered and supported in product release.

  • Lead clinical evaluation activities of ultrasound product features, functions and transducers prior to the product release. Activities include defining evaluation protocols, clinical site selection, data collection sheets and site monitoring.

  • Produce effective verbal and written reports that communicate evaluation results with clear and concise conclusions.

  • Provide project leadership for clinical verification and validation of new products, features, upgrades and enhancements.

  • Provide support to Global Marketing and training organization to include the development and presentation of training materials on new products and features.

  • Effectively acquire marketing quality images to Global Marketing teams for product introduction, marketing materials and tradeshow displays.

  • Provide clinical support for new product introduction and trainings

  • Provide clinical support and expertise for in-house demonstrations

Critical Skills:

  • Demonstrate clinical knowledge and scanning proficiency across General Imaging and Contrast applications.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team

  • Excellent communication skills (English verbal & written required)

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Self-motivated, detail orientated and proficient at time management

  • Ability to function independently

  • Ability to multi-task that allows for simultaneous projects to be completed in tandem

  • Ability to travel 20% of the time

  • Ability to apply product and clinical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve customer or internal issues where needed.

Education & Experience:

  • BS/BA in related discipline is preferred

  • Current ARDMS or equivalent credentials in relevant field(s) (RDMS, RVT, RMSK)

  • Requires clinical scanning experience of at least 6 years

  • Prior experience in commercial ultrasound highly desired

  • Successful screening clearance of previous employment, criminal, educational (credit) and credential verification.
