IT Business Partner - Ultrasound

The IT BP for Ultrasound is a strategic IT partner and relationship manager for our Ultrasound business and engages directly and frequently with the leadership team of Ultrasound.

The Ultrasound Business Partner is the primary focal point for IT towards the BG Ultrasound at the senior levels of the organization. In doing so, they provide direct support to the Lead IT BP of Diagnosis & Treatment across topics such as IT/Business strategy and capability road mapping and crafting outcomes via ICT to support business needs of Ultrasound.

Key areas of responsibility

  • You will own the development of a 3-5-year IT Strategy Roadmap and Strategic Plans (reviewed quarterly) for Ultrasound

  • You are responsible for collaborating with the business to prepare IT investments and Business Cases (via the @investor process.)

  • You will support the consolidation, prioritization and alignment with Financial Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan (SPOR/AOP investment processes.) Orchestrates across Ultrasound.

  • This partner will lead effective channeling and prioritization of IT Demand to balance Ultrasound and IT objectives

  • Monitors Portfolio risks, costs (RoFo), improvement opportunities, value delivered at Ultrasound

  • Manages/Chairs the IT MDT Ultrasound to address pain-points and resolve partner concerns impacting business/application performance towards Ultrasound

  • Supports Ultrasound with optimal use of the current IT tools and applications within the Ultrasound scope; includes responsibility for all aspects related to Application Lifecycle management.

  • Ensures alignment of provided IT solutions and services with business expectations (functionality and performance), proper usage of available IT services, and control the operational IT costs.

  • Aligns with Market IT to ensure proper deployment (and adoption) of global initiatives in local sites (no conflict with local resourcing and business initiatives).

  • Orchestrates Proof of Concepts for new business ideas/models

  • Deploys LEAN processes including formal analysis of voice of the customer as part of Daily Management Board, monitoring of all service levels impacting business

Required knowledge and capabilities:

  • Typically has 10+ years of IT and business work experience with diverse exposure to various technical environments and business segments.

  • Proven experience with managing team(s) responsible for strategy planning, business development or client management and working with a broad range of diverse and complicated business units.

  • Master’s degree recommended in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Marketing, or other related field. May have equivalent work experience

  • Strong business sense, overall and in primary subject matters

  • Strategic partnering and business partner management

  • IT (Technology) Domain knowledge

  • Service portfolio management

  • Business Transformation Management

  • Project Management and Six Sigma experience / certification a plus

  • Lean experience /certification a plus

  • Strong mentoring skills

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills

Soft skills / leadership competencies:

  • Strong personal presence and awareness

  • Strong executive partner management

  • Empathetic with a strong sense for cultural differences and how to bridge them
