This position is based in Bothell, Washington. Relocation is available.
As a Lean Master working for the Personal Health Cluster, you support the Oral Healthcare (OHC) Business in Bothell, in making a problem solver out of every employee. You are the driving-force in creating an environment where problems are gold and people are not afraid of using lean tools as their standard way of working to achieve common organizational goals. You together with the stakeholders in the business will focus on creating “a place where failure is accepted as a learning step.”
You will work with OHC Management Team to define and execute the Business Transformation strategy, including selection of target areas, priority setting, and effective execution. You are the trusted business partner for the management teams within the OHC-business to enable them to accelerate the transformation journey with their teams, in constructive manner challenge the status quo, coach teams and leaders in applying the Philips Excellence principles and tools (e.g. daily management, problem-solving, Hoshin planning, Kaizens).
You are responsible for (but not limited to)
Being an A-player - the driving-force creating the culture and capability of continuous improvement across the Oral Healthcare Businesses using known methodologies of Lean and Six Sigma. As Ambassador of the Philips Excellence principles and tools, you will inspire by working with the teams in the businesses to improve ways of working, eliminate waste, and solve real business problems delivering real, tangible and sustainable business results.

Take the lead to design, develop, and implement the lean improvement roadmap for the Oral Healthcare businesses, linked to the business Hoshin and strategic priorities.
Assess key business metrics and situations from a “Leader's” point of view and engage with the management team members and their teams helping them to find opportunities where Lean (Philips Excellence capabilities) can be used to improve such metrics and situations.
Support the business in resolving issues, using the known Philips Excellence Tools
Coach employees in applying the Philips Excellence Tools and work together with the teams in closing knowledge, and competence gaps where necessary.
Take pride in leading the organization to step-up in operational excellence
Ensuring Kaizen events and six sigma projects are properly planned / executed / sustained.
Contribute in creating innovations and services to truly address consumer needs

The Business Transformation function, which is an enabling function within Philips. As an active member of the Personal Health Business Transformation team, you will report to the Business Transformation Leader of Personal Health Cluster (based in Amsterdam), with a dotted reporting line to OHC Business Leader and work closely with the other Business Transformation resources in Bothell-area.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
10+ years of business process and performance improvement experience in complex cross-functional organizations and/or environments
Lean Master / Master Black Belt / Six Sigma Master certification is required
Master’s Degree in Business Management/Science/Engineering highly preferred
Proven Senior Leadership experience delivering outcomes through others
Proven ability to manage a program or project across business, markets, functions and deliver outcomes through others
Cross-business group, cross-cultural, cross-markets, cross-functional influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to lead leaders, turnaround teams and businesses by driving continuous improvement and change management with compassion and interpersonal skills
Finds alignment in the matrix organization through appropriate partner management, change management and conflict resolution.
Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new and special assignment
Ability to analyze key financial and business critical metrics from a Leader’s perspective
Demonstrated ability to lead team of improvement resources.
Able to inspire change with sense of urgency and bias for action
Ability to execute and deliver fact-based analysis using rich data sets.
Be proficient in time and project management

Flexible towards travel (up to 30%), mainly within the assigned region, but also globally
