Join us in designing the life-saving Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) equipment needed to increase sudden cardiac arrest survival rates.

This position is the mechanical engineer for a defibrillator monitor. The role includes working with a development and manufacturing team in Bothell and around the world. Mechanical engineering expertise includes plastic molding, rugged design, water and dust sealing, connectors and cables, display and user interface design.

You are responsible for

· Molded part design

· Design for Reliability

· Design for Manufacturability

· Design to Cost

· Electronics packaging

· Design for EMI/RFI

· Stress analysis

· Thermal analysis

· Material selection

· Document writing

You are a part of

Our Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) product development team. An AED design must survive in demanding environments, integrate with high energy electronics to deliver the life-saving shock, and meet requirements for global distribution. The development test equipment design is equally broad and challenging.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant degree

· Right to work in the United States

· Experience developing and manufacturing products on globally distributed teams

· 10% travel

· Curious, smart, and creative

· Good judgment and decision making skills

· Works from the basic scenarios, e.g., thinks about where and how the product will be needed.

· Excellent communicator

Desired Characteristics:

· Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

· Additional education in related field

· Experience working in a regulated industry
