You are responsible for
Driving quality on teams considering: usability, reliability, performance, supportability, manufacturability, localizability, safety, security, privacy, serviceability, sustainability and costs
Participating in risk management activities during product lifecycle
Performing independent technical assessment on engineering or production deliverables
Leading quality related problem solving and root cause analysis during design and manufacturing
Engaging with production teams to manage non-conforming product and to drive cost of non-quality reductions.
Using applicable data sources and statistics to report on product quality performance and taking action in accordance with data.
Ensuring that design meets quality and compliance standards
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Engineering or 4 year technical degree
3+ years’ experience working in a regulated industry, medical device experience is a plus.
Have an understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems, and professional ethics.
Have understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation, and implementation with respect to domestic and international standards or requirements.
Knowledgeable with 14971 standards
Be able to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving.
Be able to plan, control, and assure product and process quality in accordance with quality principles, which include planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is a plus
Experience supporting FDA or notified body audits.
Software Validation experience is a plus
Experience with Lean or Six Sigma practices desirable
