Philips Senior Market Manager - Ultrasound (Bothell, WA) in Bothell, Washington

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Support the ultrasound sales organization in winning profitable deals and increasing market share. Key activities include providing product, clinical and technical and support tools and training to the field. Provide the commercial teams with the direct support to order acquisition including presentations to customers and support at local market exhibitions. Attend tradeshows and manage customer visits. Support the commercial team with all aspects of deal strategy including competitive positioning strategy, pricing strategy, presentation strategy and knowing when to bring in the right resources to close the deal. Respond to product configuration and other product questions, competitive information, and product training.

You are responsible for

  • Increase the expertise and motivation of the local sales staff by providing relevant and up-to-date information about the products and competitive environment in the assigned product/market segment, to drive and maintain their confidence in the superiority of the Philips product solutions.

  • Market activation of marketing programs, promotional strategies and new product launches

  • Train the local key specialists on product positioning, features, applications, and competitive strategy and market trends.

  • Drive the success of Philips’ presence at exhibitions and congresses.

  • Maintain contact with and visit key customers, in order to maintain good insight in the region/territory and be able to provide optimal support.

  • Support winning of sales orders by giving presentations to potential customers.

  • Facilitate communication and provide input to field marketing about the requirements and developments in the region or country and collaborate with field marketing on the formulation of the marketing plans & tools for the region and for the central product creation unit.

  • Notify field sales team of price changes, product enhancements, inventory status, lead times, demo, etc. Informs sales teams and distribution partners relative to product updates, promotion activity, and market and competitive news.

  • Manage discount envelope (price realization) for assigned regions and/or products.

  • Provide strategy and content input for Request for Proposals.

  • Capture, assess and act on win/loss analysis

  • Handle non-service customer issues/escalations in support of sales teams.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

  • 10+ years in related field (Sales, Marketing) in high tech or healthcare/med-tech solutions businesses, preferably ultrasound

  • Able to travel 30% of time

  • Competitive and entrepreneurial mind-set to drive sales growth in new and existing markets

  • Proven communication skills and ability to influence colleagues and customers

  • Collaborative mindset to work with cross-section of sales, marketing, and analytics resources

  • Product technical/clinical and market expertise
