Philips Site Project Procurement Manager in Bothell, Washington


Site Procurement Project Manager

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Help build a high growth business that will help improve the lives of millions of people while advancing Philips journey as a global leader in Health Technology.

You are responsible for

  • Proactively plan and manage material supply challenges, assurance of supply (AOS) for current production and NPI products, modules and commodities

  • Support and leading problem resolution with suppliers or parts (Philips caused) in close collaboration with site operations team, Philips commodity team, SQE, R&D

  • Communicate project related commercial & technical requirements to supplier ensuring effective communication, collaboration and project management with suppliers, for assigned product or modules

  • Ordering tools and samples related to new product development, oversees realization and ensures a smooth ramp.

  • Develop, support and execute phase in – phase Out (PIPO) planning related to product changes, new product introduction or improvement projects (quality, features, cost)

  • Support the deployment of early supplier involvement and target costing and tracking for assigned product, in alignment with CM and PE ensuring supplier readiness

  • Act on behalf of Procurement Engineering and Commodity Management (CM) for project or supplier related activities, ensuring relevant PE & CM team members are always informed and involved

  • Assess supplier capacity against requirements for suppliers

  • Drives request for quotation process and supports supplier selection based on the Forward Procurement List based on the delegation scheme

  • Manage change towards supplier (provide specifications to supplier, ensure agreement and full implementation, work with CM if commercial discussion required)

  • Influence the design decisions with focus on first-time-right with respect to cost, quality and schedule

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • BS or comparable diploma in Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in a medium to high volume assembly-type industry in supply chain related functions (i.e. component manufacturers).

  • Experience in the Healthcare industry preferred

  • Strong engineering background with experience in collaborating cross-functionally with other groups

  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) preferred

  • Understanding of the principles of Value Engineering
