Philips Sr. Full Stack Developer in Bothell, Washington

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Help shape the rapidly growing healthcare market. As a Full Stack Developer you will be challenged to design and develop early stage healthcare software solutions in a fast paced, agile team.

You are responsible for

  • Working as part of a global agile entrepreneurial core team that is encouraged to take calculated business risks, make independent decisions, and pivot fast as needed to build healthcare software solutions

  • Contributing to the design and development of solutions in early stages of the product life-cycle

  • Spending time with innovators and early adopters to define, design, create and pilot new solutions

  • Collaborating with cross functional teams including Design, Marketing and Quality/Regulatory

  • Incorporating feedback from customers into the development process

  • Mentoring and coaching other more junior developers

  • Stay updated on latest software development trends as it relates to SaaS and Healthcare

You are a part of

The Venture team within the Radiology Solutions business unit located in Bothell, WA and Cambridge, MA. Our team runs a portfolio of strategic ventures within the Radiology healthcare speciality at Philips. These entrepreneurial enterprises are run as startups, with a mandate to design, develop, and deliver minimal viable solutions in targeted growth segments. You will be a part of the core team within a new venture, and this position will report to the Venture Solutions Leader.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, information systems or equivalent

  • 5+ years of experience in a software product development role

  • Expertise in full stack development for mission critical applications with knowledge of front end, back end and middleware application development

  • Experience participating in development of complex health technology or data enabled SaaS/PaaS offerings

  • Proficient in HTML5/CSS3, Javascript/Typescript (Angular, React, Node), Java, Python, etc.

  • Experience with developing APIs and microservices

  • Experience with scalable data analytics tools for ETL, database storage and retrieval, business logic, analysis, and presentation

  • Experience developing in a Linux environment, relational databases and ORM

  • Familiarity with the Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and Git

  • Strong team player, experience leading and guiding diverse cross-functional international teams

  • Ability to anticipate and effectively react to engineering, product and customer issues

  • Passionate about winning and creating innovation software solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the healthcare industry, especially radiology

  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB,Erlang, D3.js, RabbitMQ, React, Node

  • ​Experience with UX tools like Sketch

  • Working knowledge of primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3)
