Philips Demand Planner in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Draws up and maintains the MPS schedules for the BU-Operations based on commercial demand, so that orders are delivered on time, inventory is controlled and production capacity is utilized in optimum fashion.

Draws up & maintains percentage parts lists (P-BOM) to guarantee optimum flexibility in relation to the market.

Obtains data from the MPS schedule so that Operational Purchasing can promptly and at minimum cost acquire units and materials and assesses proposals for changing the schedules.

Contributes, as part of a working group, to the implementation of new control systems and the improvement of planning procedures and methods.

Contribute to Philips S&OP process by building the sales demand plan and inventory control for the Personal Health business line within Philips South-Latam. This position will be based in Buenos Aires, but will focus on the Demand Planning for Argentina and Uruguay, for the Domestic Appliances category.

You are responsible for

  • Demand planning for the Domestic Appliances category for Argentina and Uruguay

  • Finding solutions by involving planning data from multiple resources using Root Cause Analysis

  • Perform as an experienced specialized Finished Goods Inventory Planner

  • Initiate and run process improvement plans

  • Create and maintain forecast models for the customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, etc.

  • Lead the dialogue with key counterparts in Sales and Marketing.

  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.

  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.

  • Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.

  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.

  • Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool

  • Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.

  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Experience in Demand Planning of Finished goods, preferably in a massive consumer goods environment

  • Experience with SAP planning

  • Excellent communication skills in English

  • Able to challenge others to reach a common goal

  • Proven track record of improving processes and Lean knowledge

  • Ability to reach a consensus

  • Experience with managing different stakeholders
