You are responsible to
Work across engineering teams to create, verify, manage, and track system- and subsystem-levels of requirements and specifications of 3D mapping & navigation software for electrophysiology and related products
Development of system requirements and design
Work with hardware and/or software teams to lead risk analysis, design FMEA, and assist in identifying proper risk mitigation solutions
Provide technical support in system integration, testing, verification, and improvements
Ensure systems design and documentation meet all safety and regulatory compliance
Contribute to establishing the best engineering practices in the full product development cycle for the entire team
You are a part of
Philips EPD Solutions, a recently acquired venture with ambitious plans for growth, developing a disruptive technology, which will improve the efficiency and efficacy of life-saving cardiac ablation procedures treating among others atrial fibrillation. EPD’s technology has the potential to address the key unmet need of real-time therapy assessment, which is one of the more significant limitations of the current standard of care. We aim to help to improve outcomes for millions of people and help maintain the rapidly rising cost of managing the disease. Having obtained CE mark in 2018, we are currently launching our first products in Europe, US and are preparing for other territories around the world. You will be based in Caesarea, Israel and reporting into the Head of System Development.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in biomedical, mechatronics, or software engineering or related and 5+ years of work experience in medical devices or other highly regulated industries OR advanced degree in systems engineering, mechatronics, or controls
Experience through full product development cycle of complex electromechanical systems, from initial concept to release to market
Experience in software based medical devices in the cardiac electrophysiology domain
Understanding of systems, mechatronics, and software integration
Experience in design and development processes that conform to relevant ISO standards, and ability to work in a regulated environment
Demonstrated technical leadership and issue ownership; ability of analytical problem solving and troubleshooting
Expertise in medical imaging systems
