Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following;
Provide technical contributions to a highly motivated, multi discipline design team focused on the development of medical device interfacing solutions
Partner cross-site and cross-functionally on Medical Device Interfacing solutions
Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently across multiple projects.
Provide high quality deliverables across all phases of development.
Contribute to and own the specification, design, development and test of complex solutions as a member of a multi-discipline, cross functional team.
Translate user requirements into unique solutions utilizing the latest Linux and Microsoft technologies.
Demonstrate exceptional teamwork to ensure on time commitments to our customers.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Masters Degree preferred
At least 5 years of related experience
Experience designing and developing application software on both Linux and Windows platforms
Embedded firmware development
Fluent in C++ and C# (.net) programming
Experience with relational databases is a must-have
Strong object oriented software design methodologies, development, and debugging in multithreaded environment
Experience with ACE framework is a plus
Experience with the 11073 protocol and HL7 is a plus. Experience with Ethernet based and serial communications is highly desirable
SOA, XML based technologies, and UML is desirable
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interface with a cross-disciplinary team including project managers, marketing representatives, clinicians, IT representatives, quality and regulatory teams, tooling experts, software and hardware engineers
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to produce high-quality work independently
Self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills
Additional: Potential for some international and domestic travel (<10%)
Previous development experience within the medical products industry is a plus
This role will initially be based in our Andover office. Philips will be relocating this office to a new site at Cambridge Crossing , a large development underway on the Cambridge-Somerville-Boston line. This is a very exciting time to be joining Philips, as this new location will be our largest North American R&D innovation center. The new office is set to open in early 2020.
Work from home and partial telecommuting options will be offered.
