Be a key Leader within our Clinical Innovation Incubator Team. Philips is looking for a talented, experienced, and entrepreneurial-minded Software Engineering Architect. You will be the key driving force, responsible for working in a dynamic, agile, high impact environment to design and implement solutions that are ultimately responsible for saving lives and improving patient outcomes.
Your responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Provide an example of Technical Advocacy by leading with a 'spongelike nature' by willing to learn and try new approaches
Work with the scrum team to finalize the design of the user story and its alignment to the overall architecture.
Serve as an assigned Team Architect. Work closely with the System Architect to understand and implement the architecture runway.
Work closely with the team and guide the team to implement Lean concepts. The architect and the team are jointly responsible for Code Review, Code Quality and just-in-time technical design in a scrum team.
Guide and coach the scrum team on design, Technology and implementation.
Contribute to the business strategy and tactics (portfolio management & road-mapping) by identifying technology standards, and architecture opportunities.
Translate vision and business strategy into an accepted (set of) reference architectures within the full value chain context.
Initiate, lead and supervise the realization of the reference architecture through platform and product development.
Ensure the creation and implementation of architectures for: products, solutions, services and software. Created with a multi-disciplinary view, the architectures provide:
One balanced design integrating the requirements of marketing, application, product, design and operations.
Resolves key technical impediments
Works with Product Management to define prioritized feature list for the Release Train
Help the teams define and implement a technological solutions, suitable for hosting current and upcoming features within the Agile release trains (Program Increments), while conforming to non-functional requirements. The role focuses on Architectural and design decisions adhering to the blueprint of the overall program.
Provide engineering mentoring for junior and senior engineers
Deliver quality results over activity in a consistent manner
Expect and require innovation of self and your team
Collaborate with all members of the immediate team, cross-functional team, and partners.
Be an expert for crucial technological decisions in projects
Contribute to the adoption and development of new concepts & models in field of expertise

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
BS in Computer Science or equivalent field, Masters is preferred
10+ years building complex solutions in large development environments and teams
7+ years of “End to End”/FullStack development: Web, UI, Services, DB, development experience
Designing, Building, Leading, Service Oriented Architectures with dev team
Strong knowledge of HTML5/CSS
Experience with .NET, ASP .NET, C# and relational / NoSQL database engines
Perform functions in the full software development lifecycle (Plan, Design, Implement, Test, Deploy)
Source Control (like Git, Bitbucket, SVN, VSTS etc)
Experience building Microservices-based architectures
Cloud (like AWS, Azure, GoogleCloud, Openstack)
Agile methodologies in a regulated environment – Medical is preferred. “In a regulated environment”
Scaled Agile – SAFe (great to have)
Familiarity with Linux a bonus
Working Knowledge of prevailing DevOps strategies
Continuous Integration (like Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, VSTS)
Infrastructure Automation (like Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
Deployment Automation & Orchestration (like Jenkins, VSTS, Octopus Deploy)
Container Concepts (LXD, Docker)
Orchestration (Kubernetes, Mesos, Swarm)
