Philips Production Supervisor in Carlsbad, California

You will supervise a manufacturing team and take responsibility for the quality of the products produced, the production yield and the timeliness of the deliveries. As a Production Supervisor overseeing the first shift (5:00 AM to 1:30 PM), you will join in Philips efforts to increase the production of life saving devices.

You are responsible for

  • Preparing and executing of one or more manufacturing production processes to deliver safe, compliant, quality products and services to our customers.

  • Ensuring manufacturing performance, volume, quality and cost goals are met by proactively identifying and resolving capacity/resource bottlenecks.

  • Executing and/or support projects, goals, and metrics and drive continues improvement efforts using LEAN methods.

  • Initiating/sponsoring production dominated improvement projects. Represents production function in cross-functional projects.

  • Planning, scheduling and coordinating production-planning processes utilizing expertise in Materials Resource Planning (MRP). Set production priorities to support customer delivery commitments.

  • Overseeing availability of WIP and finished products in the manufacturing facility.

  • Supervising product lines, training new hires and developing existing assemblers and leads.

The Monitoring and Analytics (MA) & Therapeutic Care business group, within the Connected Care & Health Informatics business cluster. Monitoring Analytics,  is a software and solutions business encompassing patient monitoring and its capabilities. Our MA solutions reach more than 370 million people every year. You will be reporting to the Production Manager in Carlsbad, CA.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of related experience

  • 3+ years’ in a supervisory role in Assemble-To-Order (ATO) manufacturing environment (within a regulated industry preferred)

  • Advanced computer skills with MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP

  • Strong leadership skills, as well as, facilitation, motivation and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to resolve conflict situations

  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment, the company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
