In this role, you have the opportunity to
Join a team of ten aerosol scientists as part of your 12 month industrial placement programme. You’ll assist in carrying out experimental aerosol and microbiological studies to help the team support a wide range of areas of our business; Product Development and Engineering, Business Development, Marketing and QARA.
You are responsible for
Performing experimental aerosol investigations.
Assisting in the planning of aerosol investigations.
Assisting in generation of protocols and reports.
Working on projects to improve and revalidate existing analytical test methods in Inhalation Aerosol Science.
Investigating new approaches to test methods and if required develop and validate them.
You are a part of
The Aerosol Sciences team within the research and development department of Philips Respironics. You will provide scientific support to the Product Development group, Sustaining Engineering group, Marketing, QARA and the Business Development group.
Philips Respiratory Drug Delivery are a division of Philips Home Health Care based in Chichester in the UK. We develop aerosol drug delivery systems for patients with Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Cystic Fibrosis and Pulmonary Hypertension.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Currently studying towards your Bachelor/Master in: Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Health Sciences or Physics.
Penultimate year student doing year in industry
Practical laboratory experience undertaken as part of degree.
Quick to solve problems and provide solutions.
Excellent communication skills.
Target/time driven with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Inquisitive and analytical.
Good organization skills.
