In this role, you have the opportunity to
Implement a strong Health & Safety Management System for Philips across the LATAM Market. Identify and prioritize the most significant H&S risks and implement programs to reduce impacts to an acceptable level. Set and achieve objectives to continually improve H&S performance to meet changing business and regulatory needs. Collaborate and communicate with the Management Team to enhance Health & Safety performance and deploy program initiatives. Train and develop employees to enable them to support H&S programs.
You are responsible for
Develop, maintain and continuously improve safety programs to ensure compliance with the regulatory, industry and Philips Corporate Safety Standards and requirements.
Provide Health & Safety support at the Market level, including Office activities, R & D locations, Field Service Operations and other events including trade shows, conferences and business travelling etc.
Collaborate with and support the Leadership Team to strengthen H&S performance and develop/deploy H&S programs across all applicable countries in the LATAM Market
Provide H&S advice and support to Business Leaders in the Market, including regular reports on H&S performance and objectives
Promote “Off the Job Safety” including activities that promote safety to meet Philips objectives of improving the lives of 3Bn people. Liaise with and work with other Philips agencies including HR and communications to achieve the highest levels of off the job safety.
Ensure safety training is in place to ensure operational safety controls are implemented and is tracked for effectiveness.
Provide H&S support for new acquisitions and ensure integration into the Philips Safety program in an agreed timeframe under direction of the Regional H&S Leader.
Conducts internal audits and performs as a member of the Regional audit team. Continuously monitor closure and corrective actions of H & S audit findings.
Ensures risk assessments are conducted and in place and escalate significant risk to leadership; Implement H&S programs to address and manager risk to acceptable level to ensure employee safety.
Through communication and leadership engage all managers/employees in the H&S program, promoting two-way communication of H & S issues and resolutions for continual safety awareness.
Conduct, collaborate, review and provide guidance to Line Management on accidents and incidents to ensure they are investigated to root cause and appropriate corrective actions are identified and implemented
Conduct field visits to regional customer healthcare facilities to conduct job hazard assessments, incident investigations and other complimentary H & S activities.
Ensure monthly health and safety reporting is completed to Corporate Health & Safety Organization.
Be willing to travel within Region to provide training, audits, program implementation and perform customer site visits/inspections.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree with> 5 years of related experience in Health & Safety; or Master’s degree with <3 years of related experience in Health & Safety.
ISO 18001 or 45001 Experience (Lead Auditor desirable)
Greenbelt / Lean expert
Strong legal compliance experience in home Market / Region
Audit experience at multinational sites and strong H&S risk assessment skills
Experience of managing Safety Programs, writing and maintaining EHS policies and as EHS trainer
Leadership Competencies (Deliver Results, Focus on Customers, Drive Ops Excellence, Lead Change, inspire by example, create meaningful innovation)
