Philips Physician Resources Specialist in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho


I n this role, you have the opportunity to

perform a variety of administrative duties ensuring smooth functioning of the Physician Resources Department in the areas of physician recruitment/onboarding and retention. Regularly communicates with physicians regarding questions on their hours and pay per agreements, assists with physician onboarding processes, physician relations and culture, tracking of compliance training, and assisting with Philips Direct Radiology Joint Commission Compliance program in relation to the role of the physicians.

You are responsible for

  • Responsible for communicating with physicians regarding questions on pay and hours and ensuring all is in alignment with Radiologist Independent Contractors and Provider Agreements. Coordinates with the Scheduling Department on all hours they track (regular hours and physician back pay, etc.) utilizing their reporting for finance/billing and the Manager of Physician Resources regarding questions on pay compared to agreement language.

  • Works with payroll and Manager of Physician Resources to analyze, compare and breakdown radiologists pay data, per case reading data, total hours read and other information as needed for various analytic needs.

  • Works as a liaison between the Finance Department, Scheduling Department, and Physicians ensuring accurate and timely physician’s hours for pay per agreements. Researches questions relating back to the agreements, providing timely responses and follow up.

  • Works with the Manager of Physician Resources in setting up all aspects of employing radiologists from a logistical and payroll perspective. Assists with all onboarding and orientation processes for employed and IC rads.

  • Assists the Manager of Physician Resources in the communication and signing of professional services agreements and addendums for new and renewing physicians. Communicates new agreements to appropriate departments, including CLP, Finance and Scheduling. Creates new Rad files and ensures all newly executed agreements are filed and organized per procedure.

  • Assists with new physician onboarding processes, including pre-agreement verifications and coordinating with the CLP team to ensure smooth and timely hand off.

  • Assists the Manager of Physician Resources with all physician retention, training, and compliance initiatives. Assists in providing and creating tools and references to be provided to the physicians.

  • Assists with physician questions, acting as a liaison and utilizing scheduling, CLP and finance team to look further into questions regarding bonuses, contract issues, hours discrepancies, year to date tracking of time off for pay back, etc.

  • Utilizing a training system, coordinates mandatory compliance training for physicians, as determined by practice to include HIPAA, PHI, and Security. Ensures monthly OIG checks have been completed for all physicians.

  • Maintain/Upkeep/Enter records into FileMaker/Paragon for physicians.

  • Attend necessary meetings to ensure rapport and teamwork between departments.

  • Serves as a resource for physician’s concerns, determining the cause of the problem and either assisting in resolution or expediting concern to appropriate director.

  • Assist in the development, implementation and communication of policy and procedure as needed and in alignment with Joint Commission standards.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by providing prompt, courteous responses to all physician requests.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Two years’ experience in payroll, finance, HR or related field required

  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

  • Must be a self-starter, energetic, organized, a fast learner and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in Excel

  • Requires the ability to maintain accurate records

  • Experience in teleradiology practice, provider agreements and quality assurance preferred

  • Located in Idaho is preferred
