Intern - Manufacturing Engineering - Colorado Springs, CO - Summer 2020

Are you interested in an Intern/Coop opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in 3-month paid intern opportunities at our sites across the US. Through these roles you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in engineering for a HealthTech company.

The Manufacturing Engineering Intern is responsible for the development and improvement of processes, tools and equipment of the Manufacturing systems, leading to predictable, reliable, stable and efficient production processes.

Specifically, they will gather and document detailed master data from the manufacturing process for the transition from paper based manufacturing control to software based manufacturing execution system (SAP Manufacturing Execution.) Will also test software set up for SAP Manufacturing Engineering deployment; map process details and perform and document detailed analysis / identification on Tools; work centers; inspections; material consumption per operation.

Will crate detailed manufacturing process maps listing tools inspections, work stations; material consumption. These are coded into SAP ME to create the production routing in software.

Will work with the softare test platform to test accuracy of master data and process set up. This will require data checking and also walking the manufacturing process with a simulated process using the software.
