As the Group Leader Mechatronics, your challenge is to grow the Mechatronic competence for the innovation team of Male Grooming.
You will build a team of mechatronic lead engineers and engineers that excel in their field of expertise, while creating the future, digitally enabled male grooming products.
You ensure that modules developed by your team are of excellent quality and deliver the functional needs of our consumers. You ensure that our talent pipeline is filled with leaders in this field of expertise.
You are responsible for
Building a team of mechatronic lead-engineers and engineers
Driving the creative output of your team in order to expand the innovation portfolio.
Competence management and continuous improvement of the group in order to expand the innovation effectiveness and to reduce the time to market.
Ensuring that development standards are improved and applied.
Resource management of the group
Being a member of the Management team of the Development department and contributes to the achievement of strategic targets for the department and the innovation team Male Grooming as a whole.
You are a part of
You will join the Male Grooming business and be part of the Innovation team. You are based in Drachten (northern part of the Netherlands).
Philips is the global leader in the Male Grooming segment with a healthy and growing business and ambitious future global plans.
You will report into to the Development Lead Male Grooming and be working in a network of various stakeholders based in the Netherlands and in key overseas markets.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
At least 5 years of experience in development of personal health products.
A bachelor or master in one of the engineering disciplines.
Strategic thinking and the ability to influence the roadmap.
Proven change management skills and the ability to transform way of thinking.
A good understanding of mass produced consumer goods in the Personal Health domain. A broad knowledge in the domain of mechanical and electrical engineering, preferably mechatronic engineering.
At least 3 years’ experience as people manager through either a previous Group Leader position or through managing large (pre)development projects.
Proven project management skills and the ability to work in an international environment.
Your natural scope of thinking is the total Male Personal Care market.
You are curious about everything that drives our consumers in their natural habits.
