In this role, you have the opportunity to shape an ecosystem of innovative solutions (and stakeholders) in the field of collaborative care management at home, digital therapeutics and senior living. You will have the privilege to be at the forefront of business model innovation in the health tech domain; space that is an overlap of technology and healthcare. We expect that you will help us define new business opportunities and propositions addressing aspects of taking better and value-based care of individuals with health risks, risks for adverse events and/or complex long-term medical conditions beyond the hospital premise, but in close connection with all care providing stakeholders. In addition, you will have an opportunity to test and validate these solutions on its business prospect, financial sustainability, societal value and evidence on effectiveness. Therefore, you will drive engagement with customers, stakeholders, payers and academic/clinical scholars in care delivery with the aim to arrive at market-ready propositions using health system insights, needs and prerequisites.
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who can strengthen the research team within the Collaborative Care Solutions department and who combines competences in healthcare economics, health sciences, health systems management, healthcare policy and healthcare business administration towards innovations in healthcare markets. You are responsible for
Applying, adjusting and advancing the state-of-the-art on health economics, healthcare effectiveness, impact modeling and healthcare system ecosystem-wise thinking and adapting them for use in Philips Healthcare products, services, software and solutions in chronic disease management, senior living, out-of-hospital care and prevention in alignment with Philips overall strategy;
Applying your experience in order to bring forward payer perspective into the value proposition creation chain, and be able to define key stakeholders in that chain (and ecosystem) and identify value for each of them. Making project ambitions on value propositions, business/revenue models, stakeholder networks, cost-effectiveness, budget and return of investment concrete in project results;
Analyzing and scouting the market, reimbursement schemes, competitors, technology trends and key opinions in various healthcare systems to ensure propositions are in line with market needs and expectations;
Engaging with customers, stakeholders, payers and academic/clinical scholars in care delivery in local and international healthcare markets in and outside of the EU;
Testing and validating healthcare propositions on collaborative care and digital therapeutics with healthcare experts, patient groups, payers, providers, policymakers and prospective end-users in healthcare markets;
Taking part in research projects that co-create innovations in care management, digital therapeutics, and senior living and transfer the results to Philips businesses and markets.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Experience with the value and business propositions that are characterized as being an ecosystem proposition.
Experience with engaging with payers in the healthcare domain in US or EU, and good knowledge about the collaboration needs between payers, technology providers, care providers and individuals.
PhD, excellent master degree or post-master degree in a relevant area such as healthcare economics, health sciences, health systems management, healthcare policy and healthcare business administration
Ability to deepen your understanding of the long-term medical conditions, such as heart failure, COPD, Diabetes or OSA and contributing factors such as aging, psychology and social-economic position
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong personal relationships at all levels, both internal and external to Philips Research, with patient groups and with stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem, obtain their needs and be able to transform those into practical solutions that can be clinically, empirically and business-wisely validated.
Self-manager, coordination and facilitation skills of own research.
Team worker in multidisciplinary settings.
Entrepreneurial and business mindset with an academic profile having track record in academic writing.
