In this role, you have the opportunity to
Combine your technical knowledge with project management in an international customer facing healthcare IT environment.
You are responsible for
The project scoping, planning, communication, integration and physical installation at customer sites of the digital pathology solution components, being the ultra fast scanner (UFS) and the pathology image management system (IMS)
Creating, managing and executing installation plans and schedules, including complete site coordination as well as customer education and consultation as required
Reviewing feedback from customers, compiling and analyzing support data and recommending technical changes as appropriate
Managing and communicating on a high level of professionalism to consultants and suppliers of information systems connected to DCP (Digital & Computational Pathology).
Successful DCP implementation and customer acceptance, within the agreed upon time frame, of the delivered digital pathology solution.
Completing project documentation including weekly reports on project status and general timekeeping
Contributing to knowledge transfer within the functional group as required.
Providing remote support on installed base; contributing to knowledge transfer within the functional group and pre-build IMS systems as required.
The focus will be on European based customers but implementations globally could be performed as required.

Your local team is Philips Digital & Computational Pathology Solutions (PDCPS) and this venture started in 2007. The venture is establishing a worldwide business for total Digital & Computational Pathology Solutions encompassing an UltraFast scanner for digitization of microscope tissue slides and a Pathology Image Management System. The highly skilled teams aim at leveraging multiple Philips assets and capabilities (brand, market channel, technology) for establishing the total solution and being the 1st to market to establish a dominant market position. The market launch of the first solutions was in 2011. The venture has an installed base in US, Europe and Asia and keeps expanding.
You'll report to the Implementation Project Director.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s engineering degree (Biomedical, Electronics, ...)
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Healthcare IT solutions
Technical experienced person with the ambition to grow further in project management in the Healthcare IT environment
Knowledge in system integration/installation and networking as also pathology workflow integration, including the communication standards used in the industry (XML, HL7, DICOM, IHE)
High level of professionalism in communicating with internal and external customers and partners.
Ability to run several projects in parallel
