As an Innovation leader for the Intense Pulse Light (IPL) hair removal portfolio you lead the innovation and development of high-volume medically regulated home-use IPL products and solutions.
You are responsible for
Make a difference through end-to-end product innovation and development of IPL products, from initial idea, through pre-development, product development, industrialization up to post-market surveillance.
define the most competitive innovation strategy
develop and maintain a strong roadmap that delivers the business growth
ensure that the roadmap is translated into projects
ensure that the projects are delivered in time, within budget and on quality
Ensuring safety and efficacy of the products and solutions
drive resolution for all product related issues in the market
co-develop and implement, together with regulatory and clinical colleagues, a strong and realistic regulatory and clinical plan for Medical Market Access
drive Consumer Centric Innovation, product superiority and Open Innovation
integrate Philips-, partners and suppliers functions and drive x-functional, x-site, x-partner and x-cultural collaboration
ensure that lean practices (visual daily-management, standardized tasks, ‘go-and-sees’ etc.) are established and maintained
manage a team of multi-disciplinary professionals (65 people). You lead an MT with functional Group leaders and PMO. And an extended MT with additional functional areas
inform all partners actively on the status of the projects and all technical issues
realize development of the domain competence in the Innovation Team
You are a part of
You are a part of the Innovation Site Eindhoven at the heart of the Eindhoven High Tech Campus. You will be part of the Beauty Business Innovation Team and report to the Beauty Business Innovation Leader. The IPL innovation team consists of approx. 65 developers working on innovation, development as well as life cycle management. The team daily interacts with marketing managers, Clinical and Regulatory experts, industrial designers, advanced manufacturing engineers, process engineers and 3rd parties.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Biomechanics or Physics
At least 7 years of experience in product development, project management and development leadership roles
Proven experience of developing consumer related products from concept development to market launch with key involvement in the industrialization phase
Highly preferable to have experience in the medical device industry (FDA/EUMDR regulation)
Established business sense
Strong communicator and relationship-builder within multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment.
