In this role, you have the opportunity to work on high impact strategic projects, as well as white papers and specific research questions prioritized by Research program management. The diverse portfolio of Philips makes it a challenging function, as you might work on a broad scope of topics (from personal health to precision diagnosis), for which you will provide overviews of what is happening in the outside world. You will craft competitor overviews, provide market insights, assess value of creative ideas and become the sparring partner for stakeholders at various level of Philips organization.
Creating market overviews (incl. competitors activities, technology/healthcare/societal trends) for various research topics
Assess the potential value of new research ideas to healthcare (impact on clinical outcomes, patient/provider experience and healthcare costs)
Aggregate the data from various information sources (e.g. scientific literature, market reports, industry news, expert opinions), visualize results and actively discuss them
The competitive intelligence & early health economics group is a small team situated in Philips Research, on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. We are looking for
An enthusiastic, dedicated person who is eager to learn, and would like to contribute both to Philips and to healthcare. The information scientist will need to develop expertise in one of Philips’ core businesses and the creativity to address a diverse set of research needs.
PhD in the area of health sciences, medical information science, digital health, or medical sciences
Experience in working in a research organization preferably in healthcare or personal health
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with various partners (both internal and external to Philips)
Team worker in multidisciplinary and international settings, able to adapt quickly
