In this role, you have the opportunity to
Work as a student in the field of Healthcare and Design. At your intern position you get to translate your skills and knowledge (mastered throughout your Psychology education) into the field of Behavior change, Obesity and Patient Engagement. You will work closely with a small team of colleagues from Philips Experience Design, as well as hospital staff in the broader Eindhoven area.
You are responsible for
Setting up, executing, analyzing and reporting a study administered among500+ Bariatric patients in order to validate a psychological construct. The required skills for this are: SPSS, R or comparable. In addition to this you will be cross-analyzing qualitative data in addition to this quantitative study.
You are a part of
The Design Research Team, a group 12 researchers at Philips Experience Design located in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Our multidisciplinary team has a variety of backgrounds, including Psychology, Humanities, Sociology and Industrial Design, with an expertise on explorative, qualitative and quantitative research in Design Innovation for Healthcare. The Design Research team is part of global 400+ designers community and working on both business as research driven projects. You will also be part of the Design intern community.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
BSc in Psychology or organizational Psychology
MS office applications and questionnaire tools e.g. Qualtrics or comparable
Feeling comfortable in fuzzy front-end innovation projects
Affinity with questionnaire research and related methodologies
Affinity with the topic of behavior change, lifestyle management and obesity
Taking responsibility to define your own strategy within a project – take ownership
Team working skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and good understanding of the Dutch language (not native)
