Philips Internship:Marketing Domestic Appliances (Suitable for Thesis) in Eindhoven, Netherlands


Start date: We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, no later than Q1 2021 January or February

Duration: 6-12 months

This internship assignment is suitable to combine with your thesis, depending your choice of the subject. We do require an availability of 32-40 hours per week.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Gain experience within a market-driven company that is winning with meaningful innovations in the Domestic Appliances space and making a real difference to people’s lives. Product categories in the department of Domestic Appliances are Air, Garment Care, Floor Care, Airfryer, Kitchen Appliances and Coffee. You will team up with marketing colleagues across those categories to contribute to running projects, and grow personally and professionally as you interact and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

You are responsible for

  • Support the Domestic Appliances Marketing Team in realizing the business targets

  • Perform local market, competition, shopper and consumer analysis to help determine a marketing strategy based on the consumer decision journey

  • Prepare new Domestic Appliances product launches and demonstrations

  • Analyze the business and market results and initiate corrective actions where needed

  • Own the informative content on on category level and initiate, based on insights and innovations, corrective actions where needed

  • Set-up and analyze rating and review campaigns

You are a part of

The Benelux Marketing team, specifically within Domestic Appliances. You will join a team of passionate and driven marketing professionals in the Benelux.

Due to the current COVID19 situation we will support you working from home as much as possible. Depending if the situation will change we would like to welcome you working from our office in Eindhoven, High Tech Campus.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, (International) Business Management or Marketing

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Analytical mindset with an eye for detail and a pragmatic approach

  • Self-starter, proactive personality

  • Comfortable / willing to take responsibility for own projects but also open to support on projects of the marketeers

  • Previous internship experience at a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company or in consumer marketing in general is a plus

  • Fluent in oral and written English and Dutch is a must
