Be one of the key persons of our Department in supporting projects. As the manufacturing Engineer, you play a key role in the introduction of new products, you are the representative of operations in multi-disciplinary teams ensuring best in class transition from development to manufacturing. Drive activities related to sustain and improve process yield, product design, throughput, cost and safety. The incumbent establishes and controls the budget for the sustaining and continuous improvement of existing manufacturing methods, production processes and equipment. Responsible and supporting Corrective/Preventive Action processes in case of non conformances, and for maintaining and improving product quality in the factory. Manage the collection and analysis of factory data, and determine priorities and action plans for the team based on the results. Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance. Pre actively recommends changes to his/her unit or sub-unit policies

You are responsible for

  • Managing the preparation, execution, evaluation and follow up of samples series and pilot runs and process changes

  • Validating production according Product BOM and Product Control Plan according to Mile Stone procedure

  • Verification and implementation of Change Proposals for Product and Processes

  • Assessing emerging manufacturing technologies and may determine how to map them into product development roadmaps

  • Working close together with other functions within Manufacturing, R&D and Quality to setup first time right processes

  • Participating in supply chain teams, design teams, purchasing teams and secures the agreed manufacturing requirements

  • Creating and maintaining manufacturing documents (e.g. work instructions, process flows, control plans, etc.), provides training

  • Competence owner for process quality and process efficiency in terms Process FMEA’s, Process Control Plans, Cpk’s, PPM’s, machine up time MTBF

  • Analyzing field performance data, Customer Supplier Evaluations and customer related complaints, in order to initiate improvements

  • Advising management on new manufacturing technologies and Capital Investments

The above leads to speed in NPI- projects, improved product and process quality, reduction of cost-of-non-quality to delight our customers.

Having over 40 years of experience, we team up with our customers to make products within the critical time path, reacting fast and flexible on new insights. We assure integral coupling with supply chain and manufacturing activities. Use industrial production equipment we provide electronic manufacturing services like industrial, high-end PCB assembly and interconnect architecture prototyping and manufacturing.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in e.g. Mechatronics, Electronics or Industrial Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant work experience in high tech medical device business

  • Professional expertise in applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues

  • Has working knowledge of company products and services and experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams

  • Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules

  • Working on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors. Exercising judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action

  • Has a pragmatic, creative, flexible attitude with a result driven, can-do mentality and continuous improvement mindset

  • Has experience with process validation (pFMEA, IQ, OQ, PQ)

  • Has experience within DfX, DMAIC, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, 8D, SPC and knowledge on statistical tools

  • Excellent communication skills, professional level of written and verbal communication in English and Dutch
