Play a key position for the growth of Philips Innovation Services as a Mechanical engineer by contributing to and being part of our future strategies and technology developments. You will work in a multi-disciplinary project team of highly skilled technical experts from both Philips Innovation Services and our customers.
You are responsible for
Using your engineering expertise to model, design and implement equipment for the world’s most innovative medical products. Your contribution can range from early customer contacts, project definition and concept creation to mechanical design for manufacturing or testing new products or modifications of existing solutions.
Managing the mechanical solutions in major projects, which have a mid- to long-term character, are complex and can be divided in several sub-projects for the creation of subsystems. This also acquires involvement in software and electronic hardware designs.
Using your skills, inventiveness and curiosity to combine novel technology with user insight to design parts and assemblies for new innovations.
Making principle choices for the product designs, subsystems and interfaces, do the relevant technical calculations and are responsible for the manufacturability of the chosen solutions.
Working closely with the commercial department to truly understand the customer’s technologic challenges, to offer projects, tailored services & technical support.
You are a part of
The Manufacturing Systems and Industry 4.0 department of Philips Innovation Services (PInS) which is responsible for specification, design and realization of high-tech process equipment and production machines for the manufacturing of high-end medical products and devices.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Recent graduates with a Master’s degree in either mechanical, mechatronic or biomechanical engineering.
Experiences in 3D CAD, preferably Siemens NX or Creo. This is a mandatory criteria. So please mention clearly your relevant experience in the application. Otherwise your application will not be proceeded.
Broad technical knowledge and distinctive analytical skills combined with a high creativity.
Able to make a work break down and a planning for your own work.
Strong customer focus and willingness to travel (25%).
Team player and strong communicator.
Communication skills, English, Dutch (optional), good social interaction skills.
