We seek an enthusiastic and experienced research Project leader capable of connecting academic research with industrial product development needs for Philips Oral Healthcare (OHC). Within the OHC department we have a divers set off projects running in 4 domains. As project lead you will be responsible for one of these domains, and the projects with it. These projects will range from IPgen to advanced development projects in close collaboration with the business. As a group we are in transformation towards a more service and solution area. As Project lead you be included in this transformation, requiring strong change management skills. Experience in project management and communication with a business is key.
You are responsible for
As Project lead in the Oral Healthcare department, your key areas of responsibility will be:
Manage complex projects for the introduction of new products or technologies from initial concept to final transfer towards the business in the advanced development phase
Define projects and their goals, estimate the budgets and risks, make sure the required resources are available
Manage project scope and requirements, being overall project responsibility for achieving the results in terms of milestone achievement, quality and cost. Taking care of Risk- and mitigation management
Ensure that there is an effective transfer and archiving of the project results and the associated knowledge
Manage the internal and external stakeholders
Transforming the Oral Healthcare group to a more LEAN way of working in close collaboration with the business.
In your role, you will be based at Philips Research Eindhoven on the High Tech Campus in the Netherlands. You will report to the department manager of the Oral Healthcare Research Group.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
To be successful as Project leader you need to be/have:
PhD degree and significant experience in the field of (consumer) healthcare products
Project skills while having strong understanding of the content (able to navigate through different levels of detail).
Having experience with the Lean/agile principles and a mentality to continuously seek for improvement
Team worker with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Able to balance risks and opportunities to enable innovative solutions/propositions;
Strong personality that is used to working under pressure. Result driven and able to motivate teams
Experience in managing diverse highly professional teams
