Philips Quality Training Leader International Markets in Eindhoven, Netherlands

In this role, you have the opportunity to

support Markets and Global Business Services functions to always do the right thing. Your challenge will be to strategize, co-ordinate and measure (Quality Management System) QMS Training Compliance-related activities for the Markets, Global Business Services and Functions in scope. Ensuring an effective utilization of data to drive dedicated improvements whist maintaining an audit ready state. A strength in PRIDE and Daily Management is important for this role. You will manage a team of about 5 training administrators for about 30% of your time and the other 70% will be aimed at strategic development and improvement projects. Next to candidates with a Training Manager background we are open for QMS managers who are interested in this specific topic.

Your responsibilities

  • QMS Training Compliance Subject Matter Expert for Markets, Global Business Services and Functions in scope

  • Ensure aligned and standardized Training Management System set-up.

  • Manage the International Markets training team (4 people), including operational objectives and work plans

  • Ensure all mandatory training curriculums are set and training is executed as required

  • Report on training compliance and training related KPIs

  • Driving compliance and/or LEAN improvements in the area of QMS training compliance, taking two Training Management systems into account.

  • Leading and processing related systemic CAPAs.

  • Manages transition of standardization programs into the Markets OneQMS, while maintaining compliance and effectiveness throughout the duration of the transition to the Markets OneQMS

  • Manage escalations to IT, Global Q&R Competency & Education, Market/GBS Q&R and/or Business Leaders

  • Participate in the preparation and the execution of audits and Management Reviews

The Philips QMS (PQMS) Markets Central Team plans, controls and manages relevant QMS activities for all 17 Markets worldwide within Philips. This includes Personal Health, Precision Diagnosis, Diagnosis and Treatment, and Connected Care. The core business of the Markets is the Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Installation and Servicing of Philips medical and non-medical devices and solutions designed & manufactured by the Philips Businesses.

The PQMS Markets Central team consist of 30 QMS professionals mainly based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. You will be reporting directly to the PQMS Markets Training Lead.

Specific skill requirements for this role:

  • Bachelor/Master degree

  • 7+ years’ experience with Quality Management Systems Training Compliance within a worldwide medical device company

  • A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016 and 21 CFR 820.

  • Strong leadership experience: leading a team within an international matrix organization, influencing without authority and working closely with executive leadership

  • Project management experience, leading projects where not directly responsible for all required deliverables

  • Professional written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization

  • Accurate, superior planning, problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills with attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Able to proactively and independently resolve issues in creative ways

  • Able to assess impact to the Markets QMS and the local organizations of changes applicable to the Markets

  • Flexible in working hours due to the regional/global scope and a hands-on mentality

  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English

  • Training in Lean and Lean Methodologies is a plus
