As our Senior PR Manager is moving on to her next challenge, we are looking for a passionate PR manager with vision and experience in healthy living to replace her.

You are responsible for

As Senior Manager Public Relations, you are responsible for building Thought Leadership in the Healthy Living and Preventative Care domain, and creating consumer awareness and driving conversion for the consumer brands, innovations and businesses of Philips Benelux. You are key in translating the strategy into a PR & branded content/influencer plan and you are the voice of both traditional and digital PR in and outside the organization. Together with your PR & Influencer team, you own the relationships with consumer media on- and offline. You play a key role within an integrated marketing team, developing winning campaigns.

You are the voice of digital and traditional PR, and create content to generate word of mouth and social engagement, both on- and offline.

Furthermore you are responsible for:

  • Building Thought Leadership in the Healthy Living and Preventative Care domain

  • PR, social media, branded content & influencer strategy and plan for Personal Health

  • Driving an always-on content strategy for online word-of-mouth and social engagement, working closely with community and digital managers to execute this strategy

  • Traditional PR & free publicity/earned media

  • Maintaining, building and enlarging relationships with press, influencers and media industry

  • Alignment with marketing, digital, media and brand/communication teams for integrated marcom plans

  • Key stakeholder management within Philips (both Benelux organization and Global Office)

  • Supporting on reputation, crisis management and social media escalations (PH related)

  • Supporting on consumer related issues

  • People’s manager for team and supporting in execution and development

  • Coaching the individual with a focus on mindset and behavior, the team in continuous improvement and the organization in truly collaborating with the team

  • Removing impediments to the team progress

  • Be at the forefront of changes and developments within the media landscape and coaching the team on this

You are a part of

In this dynamic role you will join the Digital Marketing & E-commerce team, and report to the Digital Marketing & E-commerce Director. You will work closely with the Management team, Marketing, Media, Digital, Communication, Press Office, Social Media and CRM. In this role, the PR manager Belgium/Luxemburg, the PR Manager Netherlands and the Social Media Manager are reporting into you. You mainly will be located in Eindhoven, with the opportunity to work from our offices in Amsterdam/Brussels.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Proven experience (>7 years) in lifestyle product PR

  • Passionate about understanding consumer needs and trends in the areas of lifestyle, design, holistic beauty, healthy living, preventative care and connected personal health

  • A true understanding of communications with expertise in digital PR and social media

  • Proven experience in creating and executing a PR strategy, developing innovative PR campaigns, organizing events, managing media contacts, maintaining a network of bloggers and other online influencers

  • Strong editorial skills

  • A strategic thinker, who can work in a dynamic team, be proactive and pragmatic and be a strong representative of the Philips brand to media and other stakeholders

  • A strong presenter and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence peers and other stakeholders with the correct information and the appropriate attitude

  • Be the expert and drives digital knowledge on link-building, social engagement, writing for SEO and generating online buzz

  • Fluent in both Dutch and English is required, French is preferred
