You are responsible for
Being globally active as leading guide in the standardization and regulatory matters in support of Philips’ business organizations, especially regarding the rules and regulations dealing with market access around the globe.
Signaling new developments in the regulatory and standards arena timely, aligning business needs and influencing agenda and strategy, and participating actively in international standardization work. Ensure the continuous improvement of the standardization team and processes.
Leading the international standardization groups towards the Philips business interests by maintaining contacts internally and with experts from other companies.
Building your network of influence by nurturing your relationships and establishing new ones, and influence outcomes of international standardization efforts supporting the Philips businesses.
Representing Philips in several committees.
Supporting the business in interpreting and deploying regulatory requirements in your field of expertise. In doing so you will be a key contributor to Philips’ Conformity Assessment compliance policy and process. Your expertise is also used across the entire IP&S team.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
A technical master’s degree in e.g. Electronics engineering
At least 10 years of experience in dealing with Standardization and conformity assessment in IEC, ISO or CENELEC context;
Demonstrable understanding of Conformity Assessment, knowledge of Privacy & Security is a plus;
A passion to match the targets in these fields realistically with business constraints;
A dedicated and entrepreneurial working attitude and proven understanding of the value of crafting Standards towards business needs
Excellent relationship building, influencing and negotiating abilities, ability to work with multi-functional teams
The confidence and communications skills to operate at all levels both internally and externally
Affinity with the regulatory aspects of the job
Willingness to travel internationally on regular basis
Fluency in English
