In this role, you have the opportunity to

guide and support Business Groups, Markets and enabling functions to ensure that the audit program delivers maximum value throughout the Philips supplier base. Continual development of auditor competence, coordination and leverage of auditors across Business Groups, Markets and geographies, maximize supplier audits as an effective quality improvement tool and maintain regulatory compliance. You are responsible for

  • Developing/deploying supplier audit processes, procedures & systems to maximize the benefits of audits in preventing quality issues and in compliance with applicable regulations

  • Strategic planning and management of the Philips Global Supplier Audit Program and ensure that the supplier quality audit program is performed in an effective and efficient manner, establishing regional coordination networks to drive optimization across Business Groups and Markets

  • Participating in supplier qualification, audit, and assessments (when needed).

  • Participating in supporting and defending Philips in external and internal inspections/audits including supporting the closure of regulatory compliance gaps related to the Philips Global Supplier Audit Program and governing process, procedure and systems.

  • Actively monitoring and reporting on supplier quality audit metrics to measure overall effectiveness of the audit program in addition to compliance to schedule.

  • Developing training and establishing (In coordination with the Global Philips Training function) a training calendar whereby audit training is delivered. As part of developing the training schedule, deliver training when needed to supplement the resources available through the Global Philips Training function.

  • Managing the list of Philips Qualified Lead Auditors for supplier audits to include Lead Auditor qualification status. Monitoring auditor performance and provide coaching and mentoring to continually develop auditor competence

  • Driving compliance with applicable Quality Management Systems; engaging in Corrective Actions as needed

  • Acting as Supplier Audit Subject Matter Expert

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Several years’ experience working in quality AND auditing (requirement)

  • Supplier/purchasing controls related work experience (advantage)

  • Experience in a regulated industry e.g., Medical Device, Food Safety, Automotive, Aerospace, Defense (requirement)

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in an Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain discipline with > 6 years of related experience

  • Proven track record in audit program management and developing training for supplier auditors.

  • Expertise/experience with program/project management and ideally trained/qualified in established project management methodology, e.g. PRINCE2, CSM etc.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Auditing skillsets, to include certified lead auditor.
